I know this should be in the exterior care section, last post there was almost 2 months ago, not sure if anybody goes there.
Sorry,
just wanted to mention that I tried a new wax on my car this weekend. I picked up a bottle of a wax made by Dupont called TEFLON, black bottle from crappy tire. Did half the hood with it and it left a smooth slippery finish. I did the other half with a paste carnuba wax and the finish was not as slippery as the TEFLON finish, felt rougher. As for the shine, both were the same. Will see what side of the hood lasts longer for shine and water beading.

Keep us posted... I waxed this weekend too. Started with Mr Clean Autodry followed by Scratch-X to the fender/hood then Meguiars Polish (Step #2) followed by Meguiars Gold Class Wax. She looks clean even after the shit weather on Sunday.

Sounds like you were really busy this weekend. What is Scratck-X, don\'t remember seeing it but than again wasn\'t looking for it. I used the Meguiars body scrub first (step #1), followed with the step #2 Meguiars Polish, and last the Dupont Teflon. A friend of my daughters owns a detail shop and he does not do the polish. Just scrub and liquid wax. If anybody in the Newmarket needs their windows tinited, any make, let me know I can recommend someone who did mine, excellant job.

did you ever try the new meguiars \'techwax\'? it seems to last longer than the gold class. its in a purple and green bottle. gold class is pretty darn good though.
