Is it just me or is your rear high compared to the front? Looks a little off, any way to bring the rear down even more?

I like your old rims better than your new ones.

Otherwise looks good and clean.:)

Thanks for the props! :)

The rear\'s set to the lowest possible setting already. The front was originally set all the way down too, but I raised it back up a little for a more balanced drop. I might just raise the front a tad more when I get around to taking the rims off for winter.

I thought so too at first, but these are growing on me.

Yup - they\'re for the track. 18\'s weren\'t such a great idea for lapping after all...bent one of the Rays. :( Come spring and they\'ll be shod with real tires - right now they\'re sitting on the RS-As. :D

The rims......Work? I like the rims, though I thought the other rims were nice too. I would definately raise the front a tad to match the rear. Looks good, and as usual nice pics.

Yo Autoexec, props for going back to 17\'s!!! ;)

I\'ve PM you for Oct\'s run. See you at the track.

Man nice fast car. Last time at the KC meet i had a chance to sit on it for a spin. Love the sound of HKS and the height of it.

Do you really have that much time to take those pics? Can you help me take some as well? Next time if you\'re planning to take pics again call me out and i\'ll join ya. :)

Nice pics.

Any significant handling change (improvment) from 18\" back to 17\"? If our car could use lower offset (e.g. 35mm), those Works would look hotter!!

Car looks great but the rims seems to be a bit odd.

Saw these rims in person and those pics don\'t do it justice. The car is looking good C!

I love those rims, its too bad I can\'t afford them.

:P Its not the rims! The tires need some tire shine! lol

///M
09-30-2005, 04:29 PM
I applied tire shine prior to taking the pics, but didn\'t work too well on wet tires! (I had just finished washing the car)

the last pic is cool
it looks kinda fake
with the car in crisp focus and the background sorta blurry
i dig it

:hoho

I was thinking the same thing about that last pic......I know you\'ve heard it many times before, but you got skills with a camera.

autoexe, were these pics altered in any way?? or are they originals??

billyfo
10-01-2005, 06:43 PM
I think the last one have a bit photochopped.

///M
10-01-2005, 11:39 PM
Yup, all of the pictures have been (slightly) photoshopped. Can\'t get the dynamic range and huge degree of focus seen in some of the pics relying on the camera (or at least my camera) alone.

Spyder01
10-02-2005, 12:09 AM
Read some of your old tips on photos...Just can\'t seem to get the pics as clear as yours...

Parked under a sodium yellow light...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v301/nniemik/100_1443.jpg

I used the camera\'s option to clear tungsten light and took a second pic...it took out the slightest yellow in the headlight too
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v301/nniemik/100_1444.jpg

///M

Try not to use sodium lights - they tend to screw up the colours. White lights, or even no light is much better.

edit: I just realized the pic above made it looks like your car had HIDs. :p

hehe next week, i might grab a few mazdaspeed for some more...

Its easy to find a parking lot with white light, so many offices had their parking lot and wall lights on and they were white, i didn\'t go in cause i was alone and it was so quiet...

damn, then i go to this other place and the road was completly black with tall grass all around..i turned on my high beams and there were BATS!!! lol their wings were huge and you can hear their wings flapping...scary crap...

///M
10-04-2005, 01:02 AM
white light is good ;)

Is that edited at all? or is that just center focus?

:p im going to check out spots tomorrow afternoon after class...then we\'re going out on sat night again with 3 mazdaspeed, a p5 and myself for some more shots :) Will try that white light thing. i noticed you set the camera to 2 sec exposure...is that good? i used 4 sec exposure in my past pics for brightest...does 2 sec give better results??

hey... Is that your car on the corksport site?

///M

Yes it is. ;)

FLIPDADY
10-11-2005, 08:39 AM
So does that mean you get a good deal through them? Are they paying you royalties to use your car pic?

///M
10-11-2005, 03:23 PM
Unfortunately not. All I got was some free Corksport merchandise (stickers, T-shirt, etc), and if they ever use my car in print, they\'ll send me a copy. Hopefully they\'ll put out a magazine ad with my car...that\'d be cool.

Great pics! Especially the last one - like the use of selective blur. Gives a toy-like effect (mean that in a nice way) - reminds me of the first Saturn Vue commercials.
