My left brake light was burnt out. I went to P-Mall to pick up a new set. I bought a set of bright blue-white lights. He told me I could use them for the brake light or the reverse lights. I decided to put the blue-whites for the reverse & switch the regular bulb to my brake light. I had no problem switching the reverse bulbs.

But when I tried to install the reverse bulb into the brake light clip. I broke the clip. I went to see flipspeed @ MoT. I got a new clip & still couldn\'t get the bulb to fit. It turns out the bulbs are not the same (as per P-Mall salesrep). The brake light bulb has 2 filaments, & the reverse only has 1. The reverse bulb is a little bigger. I had to buy another bulb from flipspeed for my brake light. (Which by the way was cheaper than the ones from P-Mall)

So if you need/want to replace bulbs, be careful.

Thanks Flipspeed for all your help. :)

That was my fault for being too trusting. I assumed since I had the burnt bulb in hand. The sales guy would be able to provide a replacement easily. He said they were the same & they really look like the same size. I should have probably checked here first. I\'m just glad to have this forum as a resource when things do go wrong:)

The problem with those guy\'s at Pac Mall is that some of them don\'t know auto parts. Did you buy it from Stephen (short guy w/glasses and spiky hair)? If it was him he doesn\'t know s**t about what bulbs fit what car.

Does anyone know what the bulb size is for the glove box? I know its something standard, but unsure what the exact size is.

Heck of a job for a $2 part.

Map lights are 194.

A warning for those of you replacing your rear turn signal bulbs. The stock bulbs are clear. I had a hard time finding amber ones (I have non-2007-LED tails). Napa, CTC, Parts Source nor my local mazda dealers carried the amber bulb.

You have been forwarned.

I actually just got chrome-amber bulbs off ebay. They came in yesterday (after two weeks the bstds).

The chromed bulbs looks great and keep the tails looking chrome/clear. And despite what anyone says, the chromed bulbs do output enough light.

Just a word of warning for the blue-white reverse lights, I almost got a ticket for having similar bulbs for reverse lights.

I\'ve been going there for a couple of years now (I love the food there) and never knew what that place was called! :D When is that parts store open? Almost every time I go there that place is closed.

The whole \"red brick\" plaza (the side where Cineplex and Golf Town and all the restaurants are) is called First Markham Place. The \"white buildings\" west of there are called something else (Woodside Centre or something like that).

Which auto parts shop are you inquiring about? Most likely the tiny dark one vs. the bright one? Often times I\'m at the mall that tiny dark-lit one is closed too. :sarc

VIP Restaurant (green sign) for the Pho!!!!!!!! :D

The tiny one I guess. Where\'s the other one?
