Okay, I feel dumb asking this question since Eurojet and I replaced the front components in my wife\'s 3 already, but something just hit me yesterday and I can\'t remember what we did.

For the factory front component speakers, is there an external cross-over? If so, where is it? I just realized that it\'s possible we used the leads to the woofer for the full range into my aftermarket crossover. I don\'t remember seeing a cross-over, so perhaps they\'re being crossed over in the deck, but if that\'s the case then which speaker wire should be used as an input into the new cross-overs?

Hope this is clear....I\'m just back to work today from five days off so I\'m a bit :zzz

Mazda probably used an inline capacitor for the tweeters and ran the midbass at full range. It\'s cheaper and they don\'t have to contend with a \"box\" when assembling the doors.

So if there is an inline cap then I can assume that the lead is a full range lead, correct?

Yes.

Excellent, thanks! I\'m gonna start the install on our new 3 in a day or so.
