I just bought a Blitzsafe Universal iPod module (http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=793) since my dad wants to use my old iPod in his car. But I just noticed that I have to connect 3 wires up to the wiring in the car. The switched 12v and the ground are easy enough to find (cigarette lighter), but where can I find a constant 12v?

all the wires you require to tap into can be found in the headunit harness... scroll through here (http://www.siriusbackstage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27763) for a pic of which ones i used for the Starbase.

another locations for a constant 12v - running a wire straight from the battery

Forgot to add:

if you don\'t want to connect the ground to a body point, and if you\'re using a \"quick connect tap-in\" instead of soldering, you can tap into the cig lighter -ve, since the ground on the headunit harness is a 12AWG cable.
