Overall improvements over last year + 14% - Hyundai had the biggest gain. Miata achieved best in sports car segment, Corolla tops in economy car segment. GM\'s had improved gains in reliability in Buick and Cadillac. Porsche was no surprise. I was disappointed by Mazda\'s mid pack results.

OMFG, Mazda is below GM, Cadillac and Pontiac!

Possibly the RX-8\'s rotary dragging down the rating?

Its a US study....there are a bunch of dumb pplz that ONLY trust US cars down there...take a drive to some of the smaller towns, you won\'t even find a mazda dealership anywhere let alone any mazdas in town anywhere...

This is such a retarded response.

Back to the original post, most people say, \"anything that comes from Japan gotta be good.\" This is not necessarily the case. I sure hope the NA manufacturers continue to improve their reliability.

Just spent 3 and a half weeks on the road through the U.S. From here to Florida and back through a number of states I only saw about 12 M3, 10 M6, 5 RX8, 3 Tributes, 0 MPV, No dealers. I can drive from Newmarket to Toronto and see about 4 M3. Can\'t figure out where they are selling the Mazdas?

The incidence of repairs - survey of quality - less defects/100 vehicles gives higher score (and customer satisfaction). JD Power is the definitive third party monitoring agency on vehicle manufacturers. Companies like Mazda rely on this data as it sways consumer confidence and reflects gaps in product build quality. Ford used to say \"Quality is Job 1\" as a reference to how important less shop time is required to fix production problems - avoiding potential recalls.

Lexus leads the way once again (love the new is350)in this survey. That\'s why cost is not a consideration in luxury brands having a great JD Power score as quality demands the premium.

How do they gather those informations? is it North America? or US or Global?
