Over the last 51000km, my car has amassed a quite a few stone chips. I found Mazda\'s own touch up paint rather unsatisfactory in terms of application and consistancy, especially with the brush. The commonly used toothpick method wasn\'t great either for anything other than scratches.

I have long been looking for a touch up paint pen similar to those available at Toyota dealerships. I came across this (http://www.e46fanatics.com/features/feature.php?news_id=60) a few weeks ago, and promptly placed an order for 29Y. The great thing is - they\'re made to order, so finding your particular colour, no matter how obscure isn\'t a problem. It just arrived today, and I\'ll post my impressions when I get around to washing the car and trying it out.

Please post and tell us how good it works. I\'m was also trying to find a good touch-up paint to cover up those stone chips.

I finally got around to washing the car and touching up the 20-30(!) or so chips on my hood. The pen is a lot easier to use than the normal bottled touch-up paint, but it still leaves a slight amount of \"blobbing\". I find that using a piece of tissue to blot and buff the excess paint helps, and the results are much better than what I have ever got with the standard touch up paint. After touching up the chips I slapped on another coat of Klasse SG in preperation for winter.

If you\'ve got lots of chips like me, it\'s worth a try for ~US$17.00.

Dude its the united states mazda3 versions........Your blue is there. you just have to find out what your blue is named in the US.

Yours might be either......Midnight Blue Mica or Strato Blue Mica

Mine is there. Its called Sparkling Silver mettalic. (Sounds more rich than Sand Mica)

I\'m a new member here and I already found some useful info!

I was going to buy a touch-up paint from a dealership but I guess this stuff is better right?

Has any of you tried the touch-up paint for arctic white?

Last I heard, they were calling themselves the White Shadows...like that late 70s early 80 TV show about a white basketball coach in an inner-city high school.
