Seriously, a system can be put together with as little as $400 and as much as well, the value of your car and beyond. I would suggest going to a shop like Lockdown and telling them what you want and a rough idea of budget and they will start suggesting equipment from there. Keep in mind that installation of the goods will not be cheap, so you can save some good coin doing it yourself.

i don\'t know much about speakers but from my brief research (i wanted to do the FG enclosure for a sub) it will run you $1 per Watt (RMS) for a QUALITY amp and about $150 for an 8\" sub (needs to be low air volume and not too deep or it wont fit) you can get them cheaper or more expensive of course and it\'ll depend on your budget and maybe you can strike a deal if you say \"replace everything - how much?\".. are you going to make the FG enclosure yourself? that is a tedious process so that custom box might cost you a little more than usual (not just any mdf box)..

there is a CDT audio 8\" sub thats about 55 USD...i think it\'s CF as well.
theres so many amps to choose from that are affordable yet erform good.
check ikesound.com to have an idea of cost and what kind of equipment you can use.

If you want trunk space you can\'t miss with the FG Tire enclosure deal. I have an 8\" in mine and for an 8 it hits very nicely.
