Can anyone give me an idea as to the private and trade-in value of a 2004 GT Sport, 5spd with A/C and moonroof?

It has approx. 40k km and is in very good condition, no accidents etc.....

Thanks,

Check out what other similar cars are going for on autotrader.ca

BTW, what are you intending on buying as a replacement?

Black book is a good starting point, but I would take it to a dealer and see.
Black book numbers aren\'t the most accurate and tend to be a little high. This is because it deals with the whole country and doesn\'t take into account the supply and demand of a certain model in a specified area in the country.

Dunno, maybe something a little bigger, and something I don\'t have to pay $340 a month to have. Now I have a kid and one income, things might well be getting a little tight...! :(

Priorities and all that, maybe an older 4Runner or similar for the room and I\'ve always had a thing for 4WD. I wanted to get an Xterra but the price was too high.

Then, when the missus goes back to work in a couple of years, MazdaSpeed3 maybe? :D :p

Who knows though, I have a habit of changing my mind about cars very frequently......:sarc

Just about every Sport GT in Auto Trader is Over $20K. 40,000-60,000Km, No leather. A few odd balls in around $19,500.

I would go with $20K.

the old 4Runners had very little interior room for their size. The Highlander had more room.

if a rugged import 4x4 is what you\'re looking at, the Pathfinder was a little better.

If you\'re worried about cost, don\'t forget to factor in the higher gas prices for the bigger SUVs.

i\'ll give you an example...the old maxima was a lease and i\'m paying close per month on the 3 (finance) as with the maxima. However, the Maxima had a 70L tank and filling up with sunoco94 was costing me $60+/fillup. the 3 is $20+/fillup less than the max, which is a huge savings per month.

some people complain about the fuel economy of the 3 but it is quite good when compared to other cars.

Whos ur dadd

I had a 98 pathfinder. 3.3 V6 - really bad fuel economy. Smallest displacement among its peers (4Runner, Exporer, etc.), but it had the worst fuel economy. Go figure.

In any event, the inside of these SUVs are deceptively small.

One word for you buddy: TC. And I ain\'t talking about no Scion!

700 km a tank, come on thats gotta be bullshit, or you have the 2.0 litre maybe. I have the 2.3 w/auto tranny and i get 550 km a tank. I dont drive it that hard, doesn\'t see over 4000 r.pm. most of the time. How are you gettin 700 km, must be the 2.0

it\'s not.. it\'s 2.3.. i\'ve questioned her a few times already but it is completely possible.. she does have an odd one out but i\'m grannying it and i hit 300 or so @ half tank (50/50 city highway)

if she fill \'er right up...drove 95kmph untill it sputtered on empty.. she would have acheived 700km, or 34 MPG.

Have you actually drove 700km on a tank?? or are you just basing it on fill-ups.

I have the low fuel light come on CONSISTENTLY at or around ~600 km FROM FILL UP.
My driving habits are the same on a weekly basis.
Stop & go in the morning... 120-140 on the way home (Hamilton to Mississauga) and city driving on the weekends.

I dont know how to prove it... and I really dont have any reason to lie about that. LOL:hoho

I believe the 700km/tank.....I\'m stuck in stop-n-go on the Don Valley Parking Lot every day to and from work and I still manage 580km-620km to a tank no problem.

I purchased my 2004 Mazda 3 Sport GT, 5spd, moonroof used with 17 500km in September 2005. Asking price was initially $23 000, purchase price - $19 500. I would suspect you would do well asking $19 000. Are you looking to sell quickly?
