Exhaust Meet

Hey I was asking a few fellow members about their satisfaction with their exhaust systems in another topic and someone brought up the idea of an exhaust meet. Everyone is welcome to come whether you have an exhaust to show off or just want to take a little listen to aid a purchase decision.

I\'m open to dates and locations but for starters I would suggest this Friday night March 3rd at 9pm in the Times Square underground parking lot.

IMO you can\'t really hear True exhaust sounds underground. Since theres a lot of echos.

wouldn\'t you guys want to do a meet to test DRIVE each other\'s cars and FEEL the difference the exhausts make (if any)? Wouldn\'t that be more important than having a meet to HEAR each other\'s exhausts? :p

18 hp is great! I would be happy with between 6 and 10hp. I\'m not planning on an intake or headers...at least not yet.

I went to an exhaust shop today for a quote and they put my car on the hoist. Then the guy says \"well I would just take out the resonator and replace it with a straight pipe and change the muffler. I have no idea how loud it will be but we can always change it later\"...yeah thanks but no thanks.

I think I\'m definitely going with a full cat-back system that has been manufactured and fully tested rather than playing the trial and error game. Hopefully after the meet I will also know what to expect in terms of sound.

I\'m the one, probably the only one on this board with the custom exhaust. I\'m really happy and satisfied with it. It may be a bit loud but the sound is amazing. Nice and deep and very aggressive. Anyone that heard the sound on my exhaust likes it but they prefer a bit quieter. But the exhaust i have i can really feel the gain of hp and torque.

I dont think having this meet in an underground parking lot will be the best environment. Exhausts DO sounds LOUDER becuase of the echoing affect. Then again, its too cold outside to have a meeting at a timmies or something .

actually I\'m really just itching to get an exhaust don\'t think I can wait too much longer.

the thing with hearing the vibrant exhaust on my car...its not going to sound as it should....because with the header on, its a much louder tone...

so i wouldn\'t be a good candidate for hearing what the exhaust alone sounds like....

Profusion also has teh vibrant exhaust, but...he isn\'t around much...

i don\'t know what to say about the other 2!

but, i would say don\'t go HKS unless u get a silencer!

As Broli knows after I woke his as up early Thursday. I went to Zorros and picked up the cat-back Magnaflow exhaust system. Got a super wicked price and said slap it in to the mechanic. It is really deep. It will take some time to get used to, probably crank the stereo up. I highly recommend being in someones to hear it before you buy it. However, I don\'t regret my purchase.
