I recently purchased a Mazdaspeed exhaust, but due to a part number error I ended up with a sedan exhaust.

To those who like the look of a tip that extends by an inch or so from the bumper here\'s how it looks like on a hatch.

Note: there were no fitment issues.

Here are some pics from different angles, hope the pics work

That\'s how it looks underneath the car. I raised the car to install the correct exhaust.

You can catch a small glimpse of the progress sway bar on this pic.

Here\'s the final one.

So far, the Mazdaspeed exhaust has been pretty nice. Not too loud, and quite agressive when you step on it.

BTW, welcome to the forum :hoho

Yeah some people like the tip to stick out a bit.

Sorry about the mix-up with the 2 part numbers.

Btw, your car looks great man.

How much does the Mazdaspeed Exhaust cost around?

to Flipspeed:
No worries about the mix-up, I called you about the error and exactly one week later I received the new part. So I should thank you for getting the replacement within such a short amount of time. Great service, great guy.

Installing the exhaust was pretty fun, nice and easy too, but that\'s as long as you have jack stands.

this is how it looks now in my hatch

to sp3GT:
You\'re looking at around 600 tax-in plus install. And I believe, if you have it installed at the dealership (visit Flipspeed @ Mazda of Toronto) you are warrantied on the labour, so that\'s an extra peace of mind if you don\'t feel comfortable cutting your stock exhaust.

That pipe looks pretty sweet. I\'m thinking of getting one for my 3.

Flip, how much would installation be?

It looks better when it\'s not sticking out IMO.

If you want the stock system cut it\'s $132.30 plus taxes.

What model do you drive? I have a used sedan one in stock for cheap.

I have a 2005 GT hatch. You wouldn\'t happen to have one for the hatcg for cheap? :)

I think I\'d rather go with the one for the hatch. But thanks.

Apologies if I assumed incorrectly but you should be placing the wheel blocks on the "other side" of the wheel, furthest away from the raised end. You want to stop the car from rolling "away" and "off" the jack/jack-stand.

No worries,

My driveway is quite angled, the car would in fact roll backwards if the blocks were put at the front. But yea, blocks are a must.

Gotta make sure the car is stable, safety first!:)

So $530 + tax for the sport exhaust? I\'m very interested. Joe, would you know how much the service deptat MoT charges for the installation? Would I be able to get a good price for that?

Thanks.

Kent
