My bf just called me and told me there is a huge mazda truck with a mazda banner; there is a couple of CX-7\'s parked along with a Murano and a CRV.
There is some sort of track set up as well. Just curious if anyone has seen this yet???
Hopefully they are there tomorrow I\'m gonna try to get some spy shots

I\'ve already seen 3-4 CX-7\'s on the roads in the last few days......I just assumed they were out. BTW, the white looks the best so far!

Mazda\'s program for dealers to try out the new vehicles. They have them for all new vehicles that come out.

Can\'t wait for the MS3 one. :)

Based on the pics that Mazda Kitten had of the white it does for sure look the best so far. The black one looks nice and sleek infront of MofT too!

I thought there was going to be a \"special\" day for TM3 and the MS3 to get acquainted? :)

Well they have pylons set up and everything.
Why would they have other competitors cars??

There\'s nothing to love about being called a pylon:

1) I\'m not orange (thank God for that)
2) I\'m not cone shaped (a little more round in the mid section)
3) I contribute more to society than a pyl......err, well at least I\'m not orange :p

Its still there; they have a copper red, a white and a blue one.
I was getting excited and thought it was some magazine doing some feature CX-7!

I\'ll do some recon work to get pics (its still exciting though!)

Normally this all happens before the actual vehicle is available to the dealers/general public.

It is called a Ride N Drive (not much thought went into the naming.)

Hoping that the Mazdaspeed3 is going to have one.

Ah SNAP!
Right when I was pulling into the Hershey Centre this evening... literally... out comes out the truck with 4 CX-7\'s (White (BEAUTIFUL!!!), Cooper Red (suits the car very nicely), like a winning blue colour (I didnt like it) and a black one (cant go wrong with black :p), 1 CRV, and a Murano

Wouldve been nice to see them up close.. supposedly they\'ve been there all week... and all week I\'ve driving by them without knowing this :( :( waaa ah well!

Ewwwwww, a winning-blue-like colour on an SUV? Should have used yellow instead :sarc

I think Avante is using one as their customer shuttle. It passed by me this afternoon on the way to the driving range. A burgundy one with the yellow Avante stickers on the doors and rear windshield.

They put those on all the demos.

Out of curiousity, can anybody tell me where the CX-7 is being built (Japan, U.S.A., other)?

Cardinal Fang

The CX-7 is built in Hiroshima, Japan according to Wikipedia.

TheProfessor
05-30-2006, 01:08 PM
Sorry, I should\'ve clarified.....the ones that we will have in NA (they may still be built in Japan, but I know other cars like the 6 are built in more than one factory, and for NA it\'s in a Ford plant in Detroit).

FLIPDADY

Yup all the Mazda 6\'s except the MS6 are built in the states. The CX-7\'s we get here are Japanese.

I just passed by a black Avante demo @ Eglin Mills, looks very nice

I was almost interested in a CX-7... Until I found out that... Blue, White, Red and Black Cherry ALL come with Sand beige interiors!! EEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!

Way to go Mazda....idiots. Great marketing.

And the Tribute, with the outdated Ford 6 banger gets better gas milage...

..and did you see the lease end values... Garbage. This vehicle costs $10K more than a 3 but it will only be worth a 3 K more after 3 years....Lol..

I think SUVs always have lower residue (sp) value than cars, so mthly payment is higher

TheProfessor

I don\'t like the clear taillights on the CX-7....seem out of place IMO.

The grey is really nice.

That\'s the colour I\'m gettin\'.;)

Just read in the Post today that it ranked first among two other CUVs. However, it was the slowest in the bunch. Mod-able with a chip, etc.? Certainly, but it also had the worst fuel economy! So up the boost and you\'ll be getting even worse fuel economy. :(

I still think it was a mistake putting a turbo four in an SUV.....as a matter of fact, is there even one other like it on the market right now?

They should\'ve used the Duratec 3.0 found in the V6 MZ6 if anything.

Not unless you consider a Subaru Forester 2.5XT an SUV.

The only SUV Subaru makes IMO is the fugly Tribeca.

The Acura RDX will come with a turbocharged 2.3 engine with similar HP numbers as the CX-7.

I\'m still on the fence about that one too......Honda/Acura knows even less about forced induction motors than Mazda :sarc

Looking at the two motors makes me wonder if Honda/Mazda are looking over each others shoulders.

The CX-7 came out first though.:p

cars sell in NA, yes, but Honda has K-cars selling in Japan, Euro have turbo though only 660cc. and I think 30 yrs ago, Honda F1 engine was tubro charge also, so they should have enough knowledge w/ turbo.
