I just went to Agincourt Mazda for an oil change (I bring my own Mobil 1) and they told me my oil was dirty and they needed to perform an oil flush. I change my oil every 5000-6000km and my car only has 36,000km. They charged me $120 for this and I\'m starting to feel like I got ripped off (not that they didn\'t do it, but it wasn\'t necessary). Any opinions?

Thanks!

Well when we have customers who switch over to synthetic we recommend an oil flush.

That\'s kind of steep.

I hope they took you out to dinner first before they screwed you...over.

I changed over to synthetic at 4000km. I\'m reading a bit more about this and I really feel ripped off now. I need to stop going to Agincourt Mazda. I can\'t stand them since they always try to add extra services, but it\'s so close to my house.

you got ripped....no ifs ands or buts.

an engine flush is usually only done on older cars that have been neglected. it is not needed with the detergents and additives in modern oil (both synthetic and dino juice).....and, while it may be recommended prior to switching over to synthetic, it is not required.

Oh my god.. I feel So bad. I just checked the Mr. Lube website.. They charge $15.99 for a engine flush!!!!!!!!

Man... Get the price list from them and go back to the dealer and raise a stink! Call Mazda Head Office...That is criminal. I\'m serious here.. That\'s bullshit!

Agincourt mazda is nothing but troubles. I am supposed to be getting a couple of complimentary oil changes from them. I want to see if they will try to perform \"extra services\" to make me pay in the end. As long as I didn\'t ask for it, I am not paying for it.
