While I was traveling abroad in Asia, I came down with a bad case of influenza (my worst one yet). I had a high fever, lots of flem and diahrea. :(
After a visit to the doctor, I was given Zithromax 500mg. I was kind of suprise because the package only contains 3 pills. Unlike other antibiotics which requires you to take it over a 10 days cycle, Zithromax is taken at 1 pill a day for 3 days.
Immediately after the first dose my fever, cold sweet, and diahrea went away. By the second day and the second pill, I was not coughing and only slightly fatique. On the last dose, I was felling very good with no flu symptoms.
From my personal experience, I highly recommend this drug. ;)
Overall rating: 5/5
Price: Roughly $30 in Canada
Where to get: Talk to you doctor
Pros:
Fast acting
3 days cycle vs 10 days (Biaxin)
1 pill a day
Cons:
Expensive, although cost varys from country to country I would highly recommend getting it prescribe to you in Canada before travelling abroad.
