Header question

Hi everyone i'm new and i'm new wid car mods too, i was wondering what benefits will i get if i was to install a header on the car and what brands are there? I heard that by driving a 2.0L auto trans you won't gain much even if you install a CAI and header so was wondering whether or not this fact is true.

i kno vibrant makes headers for our car...i was thinking of getting them , they say about 10-15 hp gain? im not sure about auto trans tho...

It would work the same for an auto as for a manual transmission... autos will just suffer the large drive-train loss.

You will gain power if you mod either an auto or a stick car, the motor will run better and more power will be produced at the crank the difference is when this power is transfered to the wheels, in a manual car you loose aprox 10 - 15% of the power and on an auto you loose aprox 20 - 25%.

So your auto trans car will still produce more power with a CAI and headers but this is going to be more noticeable in the manual car b/c this one is transferring more power to the wheels than the auto.

However this is not enough reason to stop you from mod your car, I have an auto and the car feels better every time that I mod any engine related part.
