The hardest part is uninstalling the stock airbox. Installing the CAI is simple. ;)

Don't forget to unclip the MAF wire loom from the battery box for more slack. (so you don't damage your MAF wires)

Take off the bumper. Much faster and easier to reach.

now that i got the intake install...
i dunno if it is neccessary to add a hydro-shield for it.... i know having it will be a good thing.. however i just wanna hear some opinion especially experienced winter with their intake =P

btw.. r these the correct hydro-shield?? http://store.racinglab.com/injen-hydroshield-x1033.html

The hydroshield is nice insurance to have but I don't think its neccesary. Winter won't really be a problem since it will be cold most of the time and you will be dealing with solid snow. The biggest concern is rain which comes in the fall and spring. If you are losing sleep over it, I say go for it but most of us run our CAIs with no hydroshields. :)

Just do a DIY thing for your intake.
Just get a piece of cardboard just big enough to go over the intake filter and then wrap the cardboard with tin foil. Use strong double sided tape to stick it on top of the filter (you're lucky you use injen) Then you're all fine.
After i did this mod i never experienced CEL anymore.

The tin foil is there to let the water slide off the edge and not soak the cardboard inside. So it would be better to put 2-3 layers just to be on a safe side.
Also do make sure its big enough so the water will drip around the filter and not drop back on the filter.

Good luck!
