Check these vehicles out. If you are in the market for a True Cross-over vehicle, This is it.
No, Lets stick a body on a car-frame and call it a cross-over. These are designed from the ground up NEW vehicles.

I can see Mazda not selling any CX-7's or CX-9's now. They pale in comparison to GMs new offerings. (sorry Jeff)
Bigger, (inside and out)- i actually moved the front seat forward a little and up- I had easily 6" of room between my knees and the front seat when I sat in the back-, more power, The same City Mpg and better Hwy Mpg.
And from the one I was in...better quality.

Take a look at one in person..they are big..very well thought out. Easy to get cramped in the smaller car-body cross-overs. These are soo roomy it is a joke, I could not believe it until I sat in it. Actual 8..yes 8 people can sit in these!!!

No looking over to the side to change lanes and staring into the side pillar...even in the back..clear view out the side glass.

Buick is releasing their version in a little while... should be priced like the CX-9...
Mazda better drop their prices

edit: If you go to the web-sites and check out the specs... Mazda says the cx-7 has the MORE legroom as this GM...NOT!! What a bunch of liars... not even close...My kness touch the front seat when I sit in the CX-7..I got 6" of room easy when I sit in the GM... headroom is also miles above... and most important is the hip and shoulder room. 6" more inside the GM.

A step up for GM. I really like the saturn one. I'd still pick a cx-7 over them... but I think the saturn is a winner. They will do really well with this model!

I like the look of the CX7 far beyond either of those.

Those just look like small SUV's to me.

GM is finally stepping up, these should do well. If only they'd infuse there all their cars with this love.

because they are GM vehicles, they willl be substantially cheaper.

i actually might go to GM if i needed this type of vehicle. i mean, a better vehicle, is a better vehicle. however if it falls apart, sucks, etc etc, then screw it lol.

Is this built on the same platform as the Equinox/Torrent?

The GMC doesn't look half bad. Only problem I see is, that it's in the first year of production and most likely you're going to get some problems associated with the launch verhicle.

Also, that GMC badge looks aweful, the should put some money in badge styling and design.

GM is giving up on its minivans (with minivans that looked like dustbusters, they were doomed from the start... j/k), as well as Ford, and sales of Chryslers magic wagons aren't doing too well either.

minivans aren't cool and crossovers are in... more pics of the Acadia here (http://www.automobilemag.com/features/news/0607_2007_gmc_acadia/index.html)
