Engine revs when coming to a stop

Hey guys/girls,

Wondering if anyone has experienced this same issue. I have an 05 sport with the 5 speed manual. I have begun to notice that when I come to a stop at a red light and shift down from say 3rd or 4th into neutral that the engine revs will come down to approximately 1000 and then dip to 500 and up again a few times in fast succession.

Is this normal? Any ideas on a possible cause?

Sounds like something acting up with you MAF sensor better bring it in just in case.

It sounds like what i've notice a few time times with my car lately, when i stop the car after some time of driving it starts to rev up and rev down in small amounts of revs but b/c of my exhaust i can hear it.

MAF sensor dirty? Did you install an aftermarket air intake recently?

Bring it in to have the service guys at Mazda of Toronto check it out!
