Just wondering if anyone has the Fujita CAI installed on their car?
Has anyone had any problems with it?
How was the installation process?
Do you have a splash shield or recommend getting one?
Thanks in advance for the feedback.

get the pre filter, i'm shopping around for the best deals...there are quite a few...

ebay has some for really cheap if you trust ebay.

PTuning isn't bad, they toss in a free filter and free shipping within the US...

or you can get it in canada from one of the sponsors (mazdaspeed?)

I actually just bought one yesterday from ebay... i know it's kinda risky but the seller has over 10,000 feedback and still at 100%, so i figure the seller is trustworthy.
Actually a pretty good deal, the seller accepted best offer for 150 USD and shipping was 35 USD. Total of $216 CAD.

yea i found that out yesterday... if i had known (or even checked) i would've definately bought it off of u. Next time im looking to buy somethin im gonna check this site thoroughly, i would rather purchase a product off this site from a reliable seller than take a chance with ebay.

i usually just have things shipped to an address in the US (very close to the border, only 40 min drive for me) and pick it up there....shipping is free for that auction if within US. And sometimes, i get away with taxes/duties...as long as i declare, they will sometimes let me go depending on how much and what it is...

mazdaspeed, will you include install for $250?

I just installed my F5 in my 07 GT earlier today. This is an amazing intake! Mind you I have no experience with any of the others so my review is a bit biased. Good thing is I haven't had any CEL's and everything seems to be working fine. I installed the intake at the same time as doing my HID and it took about 1.5 hours to do both including the removal of the bumper. Let me know what you think when you have it installed. I also got mine from ebay as I didn't realize Mazdaspeed had them. Probably from the same seller too as I offered $150 and it was accepted. However, I got viciously raped by UPS for customs and handling. $89 freaking dollars, and only $30 was for customs. Those rat bastards got shipping money and then another $59 for doing nothing at the border. I would like to stab them all!! Hopefully, whomever you bought from can send it by USPS because they appear to be the only reasonabley price shipping brokerage.

You have to remove the bumper to install the intake?

Yes

Yes if you don't want to destroy the stock resonator. That and it's a heckuva lot easier to work with the install with bumper off.

The bumper removal may be the easiest thing I have ever done. I was very hesitant on taking off the bumper (but I had to so I could install the HID at the same time. Just take your time and its only 13 bolts and about 4 screws. Then pop the pressure clips, and voila, finito!

FYI.... after having this intake for a whole day now, its freaking amazing but it would appear my speeding problem has returned as the only way to hear it is to go faster :bana2

Didn't get around to installing my intake today, stupid winter.
Just a couple of quick questions...
1. Is it to the dealerships discretion for warranty work on cars with mods??
2. Say I were to install my CAI and a problem were to occur, would the dealership say too bad??

It really depends which dealership you go to. Some will help you out and some will just say too bad especially *ahem Markham Mazda*

i like the cai sinc ei installed it last week.
The sound is great at first...but after a while, normal driving,
seems like the sound coming from the front end sound like a rsty old engine.
haha!
Until you step on it, than the sound is roaring nice again!
