hey guys, just signed up here, i drive a protege5, (yes, i'm a member of toprotege.com already :)) but i came here since my lease is ending in june, and i've decided to go with parents, and i'll be getting a mazda 3 soon, hopefully in the next month or so.

i'm having the dealer find me a demo car since they usualy have the best options and you get them with a lower price too, if not, then i'm getting the red m3 in one of the dealer's showrooms, i really love that car and color, but first i want to see what the dealer can find me

anyways, i'll be sure to be here and there, and when i get my m3, i'll make sure to post pics :)

Welcome to the club, but until you actually get a 3 we can't let you into the secret super duper area of the forum.

As for waiting to see what the dealer can find you, this topic was covered here. (http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=16746)

Note to remember: If it is a 'dealership' demo then it may have been test driven by clients... if it is a Mazda Canada Demo, it was probably babied a little more.

thanks guys for the warm welcome.. yeah, me and my family are mazda fans, my parents drive an 05 mazda 6 gold ash, very sweet car, it was a demo car, interior is top of the line (except for navi) thats why i'm looking for a demo car too, to get the same deal as my parents, tomorrow i'll be removing stickers and replacing tailights with stock ones on my p5.. just in case i decide to return it early

if you guys want to see some pics of the current cars we have in the family i can show pics

about the red colour, i know it looks hot in the sun (all colours do, lol) but is the dullness after winter really bad?

LOL I don't have a Speed. I wish.

I just have some parts from the Mazdaspeed performance arm of the company. You can get them at most dealers.

dealer can install, but it's probably more expensive than taking it to another shop

Other than the exhaust, I've everything else done elsewhere.

Case in point: To install my springs, the dealer wanted 4-5 hours labour. I got them done here in T.O. for 120.00 tax in.
They quoted me 6 hours for the struts, and a local guy did it in less than 2 while I watched. In 6 hours, I could have done it myself.

Welcome!

just a key note...If your going to get something very technical like say for instance a remote car starter...you definatly and I can't stress that enough definatly want the dealer to install it...they are cutting into numerouse wires on your main harness so if anything were to go wrong and you had someone else install it then you would be left with the bill rather than mazda covering it under warranty...I got the remote starter installed and I saw all the pieces that have to be installed and saw my car for a brief moment while the install was being done and let me tell you i wouldn't even think of taking the chance by going elsewhere. lol

other smaller things springs, sway bars etc you can do on your own or at local shops but when it gets high tech into the electrical i would go dealer as much as possible. :) just peace in mind when all said and done
