thanx for everybody who helped me out about putting my CAI and exhaust. luckily i just met up a guy who i played pool with before and he owns a custom exhaust shop. so i got my stuff put in by him i place a magnaflow on mine with 2 1/4 pipes straight through and an AEM intake. sounds pretty good and he gave me a good deal so im pretty satisfied.

Good stuff. Post up a video of how it sounds. Most digi cams have that feature. I want to hear it :)

How do you like the sound?

now we just have to get your tints done.
If Crystal's is still open near the ball hockey rink on Dunlop
is still open, you should check them out. She does great work.

If you sign up at photobucket.com it will let you upload pics and vids... and it will convert your vid files to a smaller format. Not bad actually. Then it will let you copy the link to put in a post.

went to a carwash today and i guess soaked the intake filter a bit car started spurting for a couple of minutes scared the hell out of me. guess i got to get the heat shield for it just to block the water away at least a bit. and the CEL went on too it turned off after about 1/2 and hour

Apparently on sedans, you can use a little weather stripping to divert the water path from dripping ontop the filter.

yes a shield is a good idea
and diverting the dripping is a good idea also

with my old CAI i had CELs all the time . . .
with my new one, no problems (i have a shield)
and i avoid carwashes with undersprays

do you guys know where to buy a universal splash guard for the intake? ive been around my area and they dont have any. i saw one from wingnut from his MS3 intake and it has a nice shield on it i was hoping someone knows where to get a sheild for it. if [I] use a weather strip where do i put it?

Just clean off the vents that are right in front of the driver's side wheel and cover them with duct tape (from the inside).

For me (05 sedan) water does not get through the vents in the wheel well, rather, through the hood liner (where the hood meets the fender).

Damn, i really need that splashgaurd thing on the MS CAI.

i found an all weather duct tape black. blended right on the vents. no one could even notice it. until i figure out a way to secure my intake. i might have to fabricate the splash guard on it i already have an idea its just a matter of time.

am i fine if i don't have the shield? i covered the vent with tape but people say that water dripping from the hood might be a problem?

Other than going through deep water (6" or more) or driving through a carwash *wink*, you should be fine. Hard rain, or deep snow shouldn't be an issue.

carwash is ok unless you get the under spray. i think K&N carries ones with shield on them i think. im gonna make one this summer or get a short ram to use on rainy and snowy days so i can run my car on the carwash to get salt off.
