So I have some scratches around my driver side door(looks like lots of small key scratches but i always use the remote for my doors) and scratches on the bumper from when i hit a skid at work and a small scratch on the side panel at the rear of my car...so i have been doing some looking around and come across the porter cable 2474 and the simoniz various models/sizes.

I'm just curious if anyone has used either and would something like the simoniz be ok to use or would i be better to bite the bullet and get the porter cable.

I have similar scratches. I have the simoniz and I can't get the fine marks out. I love it... I just wish it would turn a bit faster & the battery would last a bit longer.

so maybe i should get the porter cable and rent it out to you:P :) lol

the one thing i noticed was the porter cable turns at a much higher rpm which allows to do other applications...

Porter Cable with the right pads and the right knowledge is all you need.
