Well its renewal time for me in September.

BEL-AIR

I was paying 135 a month for:

0 deductable
1 accident free without policy increasing
2 year protection if vechical is written off get the full value back.
roadside assistance max $50 tow each use unlimited uses.

Now due to the mazda 3's vechical rating becoming worse my insurance has increased to $142 a month.

PC FINANCIAL

Now with pc financial I can get insurance for:

115 a month which includes:

300 deductible
2 year protection if vechical is written off get the full value back.

Which would you go for?

I did have a not at fault accident with BEL-AIR and I was happy with the service I received. THe other party took fault especially as I was parked lol.

i would take the pc

reason 1: waay cheaper $325/ year savings.

reason 2: dont get hung up on the tows, its a new car and its liklyness to break down is rare and a $50 tow is really only going to tow you to the nearest garage. Putting some of the money saves towards caa will gain you much more benifits than a possibly needed $50 tow.

reason 3: not having an accident for a rear covers your deductable right there. also if the tow is because of an accident it will either be the other persons ins if no-fauly or yours.

is there a penalty you have to pay when you switch to another insurance company before your current insurance policy expires?

I think they keep the "last" of the first and last... and they put "cancellation of insurance" on your record. It happened to me and it was a b*tch trying to find an insurance company cause they would ask me why i cancelled my last one blah blah blah.

I wouldnt go with pcfinancial :o then again that has to do with the fact they lost a $5000 GIC i had taken with them and it took me 3 years and a court case to get the money back :O , but naw seriously if you never get in a accident , and never get n e tickets, then pc is good. Second you get in a accident, with pc your screwed.

For the points on the credit card.

The option though is monthly withdrawl from the credit cards... I wouldnt pay the balance in full.

Goto www.pcfinancial.ca youll find the online quote option

your supporting evidence for their insurance not covering you when you need it is because the ****ed up with a gic that you had with them a long time ago?

both me and my familt have been with PC financial almost from day one and have had gic, loand, line of credit's, etc. with them and have never had i problem.

if its outlined in their insurance policy that you pay for then they are obligated to abide by poilcy.

yeah since my car is 10 months old and 4 guys and a goat work at pc insurance head office, their site says my info is too complex to get a quote.

Go with Bel Air direct. They are an insurance company! PC sells groceries! Would you buy car parts from PC?

The deductable was $1000 and i have a perfect record with over 10yrs driving xp and insured all by teh same company. Oh ya I guess 27 yrs old helps too.

I just say this because I've heard some horror stories of people dealing with companies such as TD and PC when it comes time to put in a claim. But hey, if it saves you $300+ a year.... go for it!

The deductable makes the difference. Having a high deductable shouldn't be a problem since you don't plan on ever paying it.

What does "best pay out insurance company" mean?

asif9t9

All these "insurance companies" are actually just brokers. You'll get paid out if you have a case. None of these big names (PC, TD, Bel Air) are going to go easier on you than another.
