I know I know this has been discussed.

I just phoned my dealer to find out about a CAI and the Speed CAI is $411.55 plus taxes.

My other option is a F5 I am just a little worried about what people have posted on here about throing a MAF sensor etc.

Anyone installed a M3 Speed on a 07 M3 Sport GT? Id be curious as to what they thought of it.

1 word. easy.

I am presuming that you are refering to a mazdaspeed intake, when you say M3 Speed.

I think they resolved the short-wire issue on the '07. I had no problem installing the F5 on my hatch, plenty of slack in the wire.

I have been thinking of the F5 but I read on another form for two people having huge issues with water on these units. That scares the S H I T out of me. One ruined an engine due to hydrolock. For this reason I have been considering shelling out the extra $$$ for the mazda 3 verson as its got the water guard on it.

Is there a water guard you can put on the F5 ?

K&N drycharger filter bag
Injen has one I think too
AEM bypass filter

I've got the K&N cai with the drycharger bag and never had a prob with a CEL

I know I know its a remote possiblity but I also don't want to ruin my engine!

So I was just wondering what there was out there to protect or stop this from happening.

I'm sure flipdady can give you a much better price than $411+tax on the MS CAI. Sent him PM or give him a shout.

oh and I fked up on that price its actually $455.00.

I am doing to reading on different ones.

So far I like the K&N the best just wondering if it gives you the good sound.

But I have been looking at a few others.

I "think" they roughly sounds the same, well CAI's at least. I don't know about the SRI's.

I wouldn't really know, I haven't heard any other kinds.

Anyone have a lead on where I can pick up a Pre-Filter for my Injen CAI.
Looking for maybe a Hydroshield or even some custom sized shield.
Ran in the mild rain today and threw a CEL. I'm thinking I might place a rubber pad behind the front driver's side wheel well.. where there are some air vents. All they serve is to throw water directly onto my filter..LOL
