I assume those are legal in the UK? They would be illegal here - i.e., they would not qualify as proper DRLs.

Now if you can have those in red, and the LEDs pulsate left to right and vice versa... That would be a kick as version of the sensor bar.... (ala Knight Rider's K.I.T.T.)

BTW - What engine is that?

Yeah that's a sweet car. But in this case, neeldub's would not be legal here because:

(61) Daytime running lamps that are not optically combined with another lamp required by this section shall be located at the same height, as far apart as practicable and not less than 380 mm and not more than 2 110 mm above the road surface, measured from the H-V axis of the lamp with the vehicle at curb mass.
They would also be subject to approval.

hi..

drls are not mandatory here in the UK, so there's no reason why they would be illegal. You cna have lights at the front as long as they are yellow or white. any other colours would be illegal.

My engine is a 1.6L petrol.. :)

Heh... don't hear people call it "petrol" often. Reminds me of Top Gear LOL.

My fogs are my DRL and i'm sure they are not more than 380mm above ground...

Neons have their fogs as DRLs also....

I believe you are reading it incorrectly. It says they can't be less than 380mm apart - not above the ground.

But either way... skarbro was right.... you need to read it again. its "2 110mm from the ground", and 380mm across.

i think if you did something like that, it would look even better. Or how about LEDs around the fogs square shape on the outside?

i've never seen drl's 15 inches apart...

between 380mm and 2110mm from the road surface, and as far apart as practicable.
wording in the statement is missing punctuation, ie: a comma after 'practicable'..

as far apart as practicable and not less than 380 mm and not more than 2 110 mm above the road surface
