So they only changed the one foglight? That doesn't sound TOO bad for a dealership. Like eBay fogs will cost you about a 100 for a set, and that doesn't include installation. And this is the dealership we're talking about here.

If you told them to replace it, and they did, why did you not ask them for the price before having them work on your car?

are you referring to the entire assembly or just a bulb?

If you told them to replace it, and they did, why did you not ask them for the price before having them work on your car?

^^ that makes logical sense.

not the whole thing, only the light bulb =,= and 1 light bulb not 2 bulbs

because last time they help me replaced the brake light bulb is free, so i think the fog light bulb is free as well =,= and they didn't tell me it's not as all =,= so bad luck

markham mazda is a bunch of ****ing ***s. Last time i had my right side lights all out, they charged me $50 plus tax just for looking at it. And they also wanna charge me another $90 plus tax on diagnostic fee. In the end i went back to my other shop and they found out it was just a freaking gay fuse which they replaced for free.

Still.....$84 for a god damn bulb? Thats BS, even if you factor in labour, shouldn't take more than 15 mins to do the swap.

I'm not sure how much the factory bulb is but i'm guess $20 as toyota sells them at that price. + half hour labor $48? so $68 plus tax. It should be around $77. Check your work ordera nd see how they calculated it.

Insanity.... That is pretty much robery... But then again.. you dont ask, they dont tell ;) Go to Jimmy at street performance... he would do the swap for next to nothing and bring your own bulb! ;)

Cheers

Ouch that sucks man. The bulb itself is $27.55 plus tax + their labour which is probably $50 for the 1/2 hour. They had to put the car on the hoist to install the bulb not like us guys who will do the install on our backs.

youd ont need to take out the whole assembly....take out 3 bolts at the bottom of the liner.....pull the plug out then twist your bulb out....put it back in....boom....bobs your uncle..

just like Pearly said, Markham Mazda has a bunch of ***s, those ****ers always try to rip you off or damage your car, once when i took my RX8 over there for a service, those ******* left a screwdriver under the hood, luckily i found out when i got home

NEVER GO THERE EVEN IT'S FREE

He's lucky that the screw driver never caused anything to short out in the engine. A dealership in the GTA left a burnt out light bulb in the engine compartment of a customer and caused a short circuit. Another dealership discovered it and sent all the information to the at fault dealership to cover all the damages. The owner of the vehicle never ended up getting a "Sorry" from the at fault dealership.

Moral of the story, you don't want anything left in your engine compartment..even if its free.

For one bulb? I got my high/low/fog MTEC super white bulbs all for $75. Its the labour they raped you on. I went to the dealer when I got all my bulbs b/c I was so excited lolll, expecting them to charge at the most $50 to install all of them, and they tell me $92 (which is an hour labour at Airport Mazda). I laughed in there face and said why so much? And they gave me their bulls**t story saying how oh, the overflow tank may have to be removed, along with the rad support. Im like nahhh, thats bull. It says in the manual the exact steps of what to do, and they had nothing to say. They thought I was some dumba** b/c im young, and just want to make my car look cool. So im like im not paying $92 b/c thats retarded for just like at the MOST 20min of labour, which means for the other 40 min of labour the car is just gonna sit there in the shop and do nothing, and they make money off that. So then there like ok ok, we'll charge you 45 min of labour b/c thats the best we can do. Im like nah, the mechanics know the trick of snapping the retention spring back into place in a matter of seconds unlike me b/c this is my first car, and I tried doing it, but its not locking back. There like how for a job like this there supposed to charge $120, and they were gonna charge me $70, which is a deal. Im like nah, it cannot take 45 min to do that unless the certified mechanics you have working for you are on crack. And they tell me again, sorry thats the time it takes and we have to charge it for you. I walked out, and then went to work b/c I just got fed up of their bull.

Two days later my cousin came over to chill, who is a mechanic. Took him 18 min. :bana2

Next time before you replace something, check the manual and how-to-guides on TM3. I did mine last week. it took me 20 minutes to change both bulbs. Sure I got a few scratches but I had the satisfaction of not being raped.

For the next time your bulbs burn out:
