That was the car I was holding out for. Then I got such a great deal on my MS3 that I couldn't turn it down. Besides the Evolution would cost about $28,000 more.
I don't see this car costing more than 50K. It won't be competitive at that price range. (I would rather get BMW 1 if this was over 50k)

If the MSRP is $48,000 like a STi then by the time you put it on the road you are talking mid to high 50s.

The warranty is great though. Some manufacturers wouldn't honour such a warranty on their high performance cars.

Honestly...I wouldn't be surprised that "Warranty" was voided on your next car but thats a different story for another day.
I don't think you can compare a MS3 and an EvoX considering the price difference. I would compare an STI with an EvoX.

Yes I have an extended warranty.7year/160,000km bumper to bumper no deductible.

The look of the new sti is more subtle , whereas the new evo screams out boyracer.
I think i would go with the STi myself

Funny that the Evo platform wise matured and performs more tame whereas the sti looks more tame but sounds like it will be the more edgy performer.

is that an intercooler i see in the first pic??
if so, i thought we werent aloud FMIC's in Canada, for insurance reasons, hence why we dont have older EVO's around here

ummm, i think its correct to assume ....
as long as the bumper passes cdn regulations FMIC's are allowed.
With the old evo design , the bumper wouldn't pass cdn regulations

OMG is that thing gorgeous..... Denty the only reason we aren't allowed the older Evo's here is due to the bumper height requirement, and the crash testing ratings.... FMIC's are okay...

x2.... cnd has a 5mph bumper test, needs a brace and they were too cheap to do it

I think that's all a bunch of BS. Look at the Neon SRT/4 and the new Volvo hatch. Both have the large front mount IC.

ehh..i don't care what this thread is talking about, but the evo is sick. and so is your freaking mazdaspeed 3. i saw you on warden and steeles at kelesy with the white girl in the white speed 3. i was the one in the balck slammed mazda 5. i waved the the white speed 3, and i was one of the asian guys that walked into kelesy and came right back out. (was looking for a place that was playing the liddell and silva fight)

Really nice... but will wait to see how much money they want for it... I like the LOOKS better than the new hatch STi though thats for sure.

just saw one of these bad boys while leaving work in sauga. Didn't know they had some here cause at first I thought it was just a new Lancer with a body kit and the dude just put the 'Evolution' emblem on the back :p
It looks pretty mean with the rear diffuser and the vents on the sides.
