Hey guys and gals, I have finally decided to lower my 3, and have came to the conclusion that I will be looking for a set of use prokit or htech as I don't want such a large drop.

My question is whether either one will have an issue of rubbing if there are 5 grown adults in the car (especially the rear wheels)?

My previous car (civic) had this problem.. but then again, I had sportlines and larger rims on it.

Just don't want to go through that again with a new car. By the way, I was planning to use OEM struts.

Thanks for the input.

Do You have a Sedan or Hatch Im on H-Techs il post a pic for you it has a different stance than Pro kits... Pro kits are an even all round drop.... H-Techs are higher by a bit on the back end heres some pics

They're the same really. Some minor diferrances.

H-Tech
- Angled lower meaning the front lowers more than the rear.
- Softer spring rates means its a softer spring, more comfy.

Pro-Kit
- Lowered pretty much equal all around.
- Stiffer than the h-techs but still very civil
- equivelent to the Mazdaspeed springs you can buy from the dealer

Oops! Forgot to add that I drive a '08 GT Sport.

Yeah, I know that I will be dropping it as soon as I can find a used set of springs, but just concerned about any rubbing issues when the car is full of passengers (the problem with driving a four door car..... never really had to drive anyone around in my old hatchback).

How big are these adults?
What size of rims are you rolling on?

Definitely avoid speedbumps when possible with a lowered car and full ride......

I have the oem 17's on my car.... i think it shouldn't rub.

I guess 5 grown adults... let's assume each is about 150lbs..... I don't usually have 5 in the car, but there are times that I do. Man, do I miss driving a 2-door.

cool... thanks for the advice.

it seems very hard to find a used set of htech or prokit. off the top of your head, do you know what's the cost of a new set (either one)? i might just buy a new set instead of waiting.

Ask Supershyguy for prokits. I think they go for $250-$280 depending on if there is a gb going on. I think I paid $260, but I don't know if this was a sale price. I don't know about Htech.

Tires23 (one of the vendors) caries Tein's. The H-tech were somewhere around the $250 range.
