Here are a few pics of my new wheels...

They are 17x8 hyperblack Enkei RPM2 (Bortex) wheels with Falken ZE912 225/45R17 rubber on them. The tires were put on by Simply Tire, and they did the caliper painting at the same time.... (BTW, my sharkfin antenna IS in the picture... in the trunk in a box ready to go back to Visual Garage for repainting :))

I miss my hyperblack RPM2's. Nice choice. Just a bit of a bitch to clean though.

Drop it!
I detect a trend here! :chuckle

It will get dropped soon enough... I have the springs and dampers in the gararage. I just can't decide whether or not to do the sways at the same time... if I do that means waiting for a couple of months, as my budget for car mods is pretty much shot...

awesome wheels. I've heard that they're somewhat hard to come by nowadays?

Enkei has discontinued them. You can still get them, but only until the dealers have run out of stock. Many of the larger on-line retailers do list them anymore, and I suspect many of the ones that do list RPM2s just haven't updated their systems.

BTW, I am looking at how the amount the front wheels have been pushed out and have no idea how the wheels are going to clear the fenders when I drop it.

Nice rims... what offset are those, mine don't stick out as much but it may be because of the drop.

Offset is 45... as noted they are are 8" rims with 225 tires on them.

Are you still running them? What size are are/were yours?

I think I will park the car with a wheel up on the curb to compress the spring... that should let me know what I'll end up with.

Saw a dropped white sedan at Shopper's World tonight with 225/40R18s and they tucked.. can't recall the rim mfg tho... and I think people should write the offset on their rims where I can see it!

I'm running the same tire but not sure of the rim width... Can't even check cause the car is in the shop.

Here's a pic of the side profile with a prokit drop.

It may just be the angle of you pics and the rim spokes do come out a little but with a drop... it'll look HAWT!

edit: I'm pretty sure mine are 7" width.

nice!

Question: when you have 225s do they stick out of the wheel well a little? I cant really make out from the pictures. Just curious.

You now need to lower it and add the front lip from SSG!

On my car the tires stick just a tiny bit...maybe a millimetre. keep in mind that I have 8" rims, which will make the tires about .2" wider (the "standard" size for them is 7.5" rims). A higer offset (e.g. 48) would bring the rims completely under the fender.

Yeah, I'm still liking them! PITA to clean though! 20 segments per wheel to clean... Every time I wash the car I keep thinking, "Next time get 5-spoke wheels!" :chuckle

To tell you the truth guys, I'm not a fan of those style of rims. Everyone has them. 5 spoke chrome rims is what looks good. That would be sick. Of all the members, I think Broli has the sickest rims.
