Anyone know a place?

Yourself?

I'm currently renting a room right now but its not working out for me due to decline in cleanliness in the house (my room is spotless) and landlady did not meet my expectations and misinformed me on a few items (garage space, lack of security system).

I just need a place for the short term a few months.

Male, 25, working professional, university educated (whatever that means!)

Anyone need a house mate? I can cook and clean. Provide HR consultation. XBox 360. Car talk. Photography talk

My budget is $500 max and looking for a small room, parking space, internet is a must, TV maybe, full kitchen as I cook to feed myself.

I need a new place!!!

Did you try looking on Mohawk/McMaster or Sheridan's websites for Student off-campus housing listings? I just tried on Mac and there's one for like $800 a month in Burlington. I know it's out of your price range.

Sheridan might have a lot more since it's in Oakville. I will check as well.

I know you're not a student, but my friend in Orillia did this once he secured an employment position with their newspaper. As did one of my roommates when they moved into my place. You can be surprised what you can find in a student's price range.

If you can hang on until January.... there are sure to be openings due to the Christmas grads.....

Not a problem :). Check out the local newspapers too. They usually have online classifieds.

Your chance of getting a student room right now is pretty good too. Many people take off from their places in January after they make friends/receive co-op etc.

Did you try the student rentals I suggested?

I did and i just spent the past hour with a spreadsheet and calculator. With gas so cheap I'll continue to live at home in Markham and just drive out there again.

thanks anyways!

Does it have to be $500? Almost impossible to find anything that price in town here. $650 is where the bach places start at in burlington or in hamilton they are like $600 for a full 1 bedroom. Only 10 mins on the highway.

You'll spend $150 in gas, wear on the car & time wasted coming from markham daily. I'd just go for a bach appt.
