Hi everyone, I was just wondering, is it possible to buy the part and install the map light in the headliner like the GT (and GS???) models have above the centre console. I'm always frying to find stuff in the dark, and I can't because the dome light in the middle of the car is too far back!

I mean i get that it's a base model, but I can't believe that a maplight is an upgrade feature :loco

Thanks!

it is possible..go to a junkyard and see if they have any Gs or GT models there and you can remove it from the car to use as your own..wiring is that difficult

Thnx bro...are the wires already pre-run under the headliner? Also, what about the actual mounting bracket? IS that there or do i need pick one up as well?

i think you have to create your own wiring im not sure about that part but it shouldnt be that hard..if you run into problems PM Mcguyver_3 he did that mod to his car.

My guess is that the wires might be there but I could be wrong. The wiring diagram shows only one connector that differentiates itself from "with map light" and without.

Alright cool! I know this would be a huge favour to ask, but would it be too hard to post this diagram for me please? I appreciate your help!

Click the image again in the link for super high resolution.

As you can see, connector 0918-801 is all the difference.
