I noticed surface rust on rotors of my two week old car. All four rotors are fully covered with rust. My car was sitting on the driveway Friday and yesterday (It rained yesterday and today). Is this normal? When I was driving today, I looked at cars with alloy wheels and didn't see any rust on their rotors.

It's normal. Just apply the brakes a few times after you take off. The rust will come right off.

Yep it's normal to get some surface rust on the rotors, especially after they get wet from the rain. It can even happen after washing the car and leaving it overnight.

perfectly normal if it goes away as soon as you start driving. if you start the car and go a few km/h then lightly apply the brakes, the surface rust will be gone.

if it's not gone then the brakes on that rotor are not working.
