I just ordered a PCD ECU Chip (Stage 1) from it says you can get better mileage, or you can tweek it to max, and get up to 50 hp. Is this true? Anybody else have one of these, and what are your reviews?

if you put this chip in you will void your warranty and if the chip messed up your ECU then what?

It stated clearly that it does not void any warranty, and does not affect your emmisions either. And I'm pretty sure it wouldn't mess up my ECU, but even if it does I'm pretty sure they have some sort of warranty or guarantee, I'll look into that a little more.

"The PCD Performance module simply wires into the factory harness of the IAT sensor.
The module will work with the sensor to provide a new signal to your vehicles ECU. The ECU then adjusts your air/fuel and timing advance curves to new performance settings. Our PCD Performance module eliminates costly parts and installation of ECU components, and still safely and legally provides the same end results.
There is no risk of damage to the engine or electrical system since the modified sensor signal will always remain within the manufacturer's recommended specifications."

Scam pure and simple. Sorry.
As to whether it can damage your car or not...I would suggest checking with Mazda for their opinion on the matter, and not rely on the claims of the seller of the snakeoil.
There are literally hundreds of people who have spent a long time tweaking their 3 to get the most performance out of it. If this chip thing worked... you can be sure that it would be all over the Mazda3 boards.

It says 3-6 hp for the Mazda3, a waste of money if you ask me!

I swear it said up to 50... I'm expecting a 15-20 boost at least. I've heard mixed reviews about ECU chip (more-so positive).

It says 3-6 gallons improvement and up to 50HP increase...but looks like a scam...that is for sure..

I bet this is just a potentiometer that bypasses the o2 sensor. Depending on the voltage, it will modify your AFR, providing more power
This chip is null and void when the ECU learns and adjusts back to stock levels.

Well if that's the case, than FML. =\

This isn't ebay, my cousin had one installed on his Avalanche LTZ, huge difference, and you can feel it.
I dunno, and this one wasn't THAT cheap, so anythings possible. I guess I'll wait and see.

And you are basing this expectation on.... ?
The website does say up to 50... depending on other modifications added to the car. They don't say *what* mods... I suspect "minor" things like a CAI, header, hi-flow exhause system....
Look bottom line: This is a scam. Pure and simple. Get you money back and spend in on something that really does make a difference like a CAI... at least with a CAI you will get 5-8 HP and your engine will make a nice growl..

I have a CAI already... lol

Get an CBE...
15 - 20 boost with a chip...not likely on our cars. If so , there would be a lot more mazda3 owners with this mod already installed and reviewed.

like others have said, you got scammed. From the limited install info on their site:
There is no soldering involved. You'll locate your vehicle's IAT sensor and your new Chip will be installed via the factory harness.
This looks like the Intake Air Temperature Resistor mod where you're changing the resistance value to trick the ECU into thinking the air temp alone is colder than actual (the higher the resistance, the colder the air). This in turn will cause the ECU to dump more fuel (since cold air is denser) ... or so the theory goes.
This won't work on the 3 as the ECU takes other values into account other than IAT to ensure that things are running as they're supposed to.
In any case, some guys on gassavers (http://www.gassavers.org/showthread.php?t=149) noticed no difference in fuel economy let alone power.
again, you got scammed and there's no way you're getting 15 to 20 whp for $80 on the regular mazda3.
more reading here to show that the IAT resistor mod is a scam (http://www.qcwo.com/technicaldomain/?p=64)

You'll get something outta it, but don't expect much though. Not really worth spending so much on a Mazda 3 for little gains

Our cars it is quite different though. People who turboed their 3 had to go with some form of a standalone, cause they couldn't work with the ECU.
