I Have noticed my turbo on my 08 mazdaspeed 3 has been making a low whining noise. Once i turn the car on i let it warm up very well and when i take off a wot the car makes a whining noise and it sounds like its coming from the turbo. I have been hearing people say that it could be the turbo bearing but the car only has 23,000 miles on it how could the bearing be gone already. I was wondering if it could be the inlet pipe on the turbo. I have checked all the vacum lines and they are all tight, Im just not sure what it could be. The inlet pipe is the only thing i have not checked, if anyone could give me an idea on what i can try that would be great. I really dont want to take it to the dealer cause they wont do anyting they will just say thats the way the car sounds which is a load of bull.:bang

Ya i have a rear engine mount but i have had the mount now for about 6months and never heard a whining noise until now. I dont know what it could be, i even put my factory intake back on to see if that was the problem but the sound is still there.

Would be cool to record that noise and post it hear, i'm sure some people or even me would help you to sort it out!

I took one of my friends in the car that owns a couple of DSMs and he could not here the noise. But i know its there cause u can tell when your child is sick and i here the noise its a very low whining once the car gets hot but when its cold you can here it for about 2 min at wot, this is driving me crazy because i cant figure this out.:complain

try tightening up the clamps on your turbo inlet pipe and see what happens
