Hey Guys,

Last Friday my buddy and I installed COBB springs on my 07 MS3. The morning after, I noticed some noise in the front shocks, So I went to the dealership and lifted the car to see whats was wrong.. we noticed that we could spin the spring left and right with my hand(1 inch or so left and right) and was not seated correctly (see the pictures)..

When we did the springs swap, there was a green rubber piece that came out in pieces, I thinks it a bumper stop.. and we didnt replaced it.. you guys think that might be the problem?!

One of my bump stomps were mangled when I swapped my springs... But I replaced it before installing my Cobb springs. Easiest way to see if it's related to the missing bump stop, try to spin the other side when it's off the ground...

I'm pretty sure it isn't bump stop related though, since those are only in use when your springs are fully compressed. It's a last ditch effort to soften the impact after you've exceeded your shock's dampening ability. I think the springs will move though when mated with your oem shocks... But I'm not 100% positive. I remember the springs on my Tein's moving around inside the coil over/strut.... But that only happens when the car is fully off the ground.
