I went to a dyno meet with several members from this board on the 8th of May for a baseline. Needless to say I had one of the lowest results compared to everyone else. I needed an equalizer fast. So I bought the Ultimate Racing Front Mount Intercooler. I couldn't wait to see the difference that it would make for my own eyes. Fobio set up another session for me at APH on May 29th.

Keep in mind that these results are to the wheels and not corrected. Corrected, or Dyno Jet results can be crudely calculated by adding 12%. To the crank can be calculated by adding another 15% to that for drivetrain loss. Here goes.....

These 2 runs (baseline) were done with a downpipe and high flow cat, cai, inlet tubes, and one step colder plugs.

This run was done immediately afterwards by marrying and flashing the Cobb Access Port with an off the shelf map (with no time for the car to learn the map) on the dyno.

These 2 runs were done after the The Ultimate Racing Front Mount Intercooler was installed, with a downpipe and high flow cat, cai, inlet tubes, and one step colder plugs.

This run was done with the Cobb Access port flashed with an off the shelf map (with no time for the car to learn the map) on the dyno and the previous aforementioned mods.

These 2 runs were done with the previous aforementioned mods and a map that Fobio created for me.

As you can plainly see, the Ultimate Racings Front Mount Intercooler gave me crazy gains, 26whp and 7 wtq with a stock tune, and 65 whp and 80 wtq with a tune!!!:hawt With no boost leaks and results like that, I am very happy!!:chuckle

That... Is crazy. Although your initial runs pre-FMIC seemed low for a DP/Stage2 MS3. I should post up my dyno sheet from APH. For a stage 1+FMIC+93oct run comparison.

It's Fobio...;)

that TQ is crazy!!!!!!

and that map isn't for everyone...we did it to make sure Mr. Big Dad's car can run strong due to the initial unimpressive dyno before the UR FMIC. With the FMIC as removal of the TMIC's restrictions, we were able to make sure that Big Dad's car was running in championship winning form again! (ie. can hold boost!)

anyway, it's not for everyone and I certainly will not run it, but it's a good show of:

1. how stout Big Dad's ride is...the MS3 needs to be spanked for it to behave.

2. how big of a difference a FMIC, and huge one at that from Ultimate, can help with heat soak...even on a dyno.

3. showing some potential as to what we can do with tuning.

For anyone interested, you can contact me for info on getting tuned @ APH for your MS3. We are happy that regardless of the trq numbers (with respect to whp being a product of trq, but not the 380 wtrq in this case), that we made 300whp for Big Dad. =)
