I have watched that video several times before. Personally, I have experienced landings similar (albeit not as extreme) as that. Strong crosswinds combined with gusts are a pilot's worse nightmare. Here, the true skills of a pilot shines. Personally, I probably would have overshot earlier though.

Wow that's scary stuff.... I could never be a pilot. This would be my exact expression:

that looks like the old hong kong airport, hard to tell but i know a few pilots that have landed there and it was always like that, go check out more videos on youtube.

When I flew into poland this summer it was like that, they didn't think they would be able to land it, was really fun, until I realized hey...I could die...then not so fun.

Ya my long time friends Dad is a Pilot for Air Canada.. he told me one time about a landing like this.. is all about feathering the engines to keep yourself straight (movement towards the runway) then at the last min, trying to get the plane as straight as possible when touch down... either way.. this pilot saves a plane crash for sure... i can't belive the wing touches ground!!!

two yrs ago landing in miami looking out the window a foot to go the pilot dumps the throttle and takes off almost straight up and a huge bank to the right like a roller coaster.

Once circling the air port pilot comes on pa says sorry about that seems another aircraft could not clear the runway in time on a take off in front of us.
Holy......everyone need fresh underware.

Buddy i went to visit is a ex us fighter pilot and said general public has no clue to true power a passenger jet really has.

Has lots of extra when needed to get out of trouble! Well I know that now.

Talk about coincidence, I went through a super crazy crosswind landing today. 90* wind at 20kts (~40KM). In the small plane I was flying, you definitely felt it.

haha, that's a ballsy captain, generally they don't try and pull sh*t like that. The plane's more than capable, but the passengers tend to get nervous when you start throwing a plane around. There are clips on youtube somewhere of a 747 performing full barrel rolls and inside loops.

90 deg at steady 20 kts? damn! I remember I did a couple circuits once, 70 deg at 12 gusting 28 or something. not gonna forget that in a hurry lol.

Ya it was crazy! 90 deg at a steady 20 kts, and I was going into Tillsonburg, so it didn't help that the runway is cut into a forest, creating all sorts of mechanical turbulence.
