Hi guys,

I've been trying to get some logs done but my sampling rate is really crap. Usually, the logs I look at online are sampling at about 0.15-0.20 sec between each point, but my sampling rates are 0.7-1.0 sec between each point. I've tried reducing the number of items to monitor, but still no dice.

Is there a setting were I can change the sampling rate?

Thanks.

The newest one just released today.

number of items to monitor AND number of items to log?

5 items to monitor, 15 to log.

That's a lot of items... The more items you have the slower it is (Or rather, the more points it has to check). But you probably knew that already...

Reduce it to one item and you'll see how fast your accessport can really log. Then increase from there... 15 is a lot of items...

Thing is, when I see logs from MSF, they have the same number of items, I'm just trying to log the same things.

But I'll try that and see if it improves, thanks.

OK, so I've done a few tests. I've changed monitoring to just one variable. For logging, I started with one variable. This is what I find.

Num of Var 1 2 3 4
Sec between 0.07 0.10 0.15 0.20

Anything above 4 vars I start to hit 0.50 per data point. How am I suppose to make any useful logs with just 4 vars?

Do more than one log.

Do more than one log.

Kind of defeats the purpose since the data would be from different runs/pulls.

what's wrong with 0.5 sec/data point? you're looking for trends moreso than exact point-in-time if you're logging while daily driving. if you're tuning, then you'll limit the data set to what you absolutely need.

the resolution is higher if you log with ATR hooked into the AP i believe so that's another option.

I just don't want to miss boost spikes and stuff. I believe I've figured out the problem, so I'll be limiting the number of items that I'll be logging.

Once ATR is released for Gen2, I will give that a try. Thanks.
