I have new oem rear seatbelts but I don't have an impact gun to remove the old ones. Could I ask a dealership to remove them for me?

Sure you can. Whether they'll do it for you or not is another story.

Reasonable price wouldbe $0.01 or come to a meet and see anyone has a gun in their trunk :D

If you live close to me, I have a impact driver wouldn't be a problem to remove it for you.

Why dealer? Any garage can do it, minimum charge $10?

Just use a box wrench and piece of pipe......or a breaker bar and socket....why does it have to be with an impact?

Because I'm super weak and I need more torque. I removed the rear centers already, its just the rear right and left that I can't budge loose.

I'm the weakest mofo you'll ever meet (ask any of the kw members) and yet I don't ***** out on removal of bolts...lol I just bust out a 24" breaker bar :)

+1 (not about you being the weakest mofo :chuckle)

A breaker bar will help 100x over. Way more leverage.

There ya go...probably cheaper than asking a shop to do it and you'd have a breaker bar for life (assuming you have 3/8" or 1/2" drive sockets).

Of course I (and probably many other members here) would have no problem helping out...but I'm in Kitchener.

You can always fashion your own breaker bar by putting a long metal tube on your socket ranch to get some extra leverage.

Impact gun also doesn't usually snap seized bolts, while with breaker bar it really easy to do (even grade 10 bolts). However this mostly applies to suspension bolts that are exposed to elements.

I've done this before and broken the racheting mechanism...not terribly recommended. If anything throw it on a box end wrench or a shorter breaker bar.

And impact guns love to snap things...lol

More like what they'll charge to do it. I don't see why they would refuse to do it.

I can see them refusing if they don't have the new belts to put in!...It may be illegal for a licensed mechanic or shop to knowingly remove a safety item as important as seat belts unless they were installing new ones.I pretty sure removing seatbelts may legally rendor a vehicle 'uncertified for use'.

no no, I guess I shouldve had said asking the dealer to replace belts, i have beige and I want black ones installed. I already done the rear middle. Its the rear left and right that wont come off. Havent tried the fronts yet. But yes I have new OEM ones.

I beg to differ, my air gun puts out 1100Ft-LBS of torque and has the potential to snap pretty much anything. Best investment in tools i ever made :chuckle
