Limitation of Edit Permission

I got the edit permission but can't edit my first 100 old posts??? :(

You can only edit recent posts (i think like within 24 hrs or something).

As he said 24hrs. Although I think if you ask a mod, they will edit older posts for you for specific reasons such as adding or making corrections to a how to thread.

If I'm not mistaken I believe you have a 12 hour window to edit a post.

Which means my post would be confiscated after 12 or 24 hours.

What's the point to have this kind of limitation?
