Hi All,

I have a Mazdaspeed CAI on my MS3, been there for 3 years...., the only disadvantage is while doing the filter cleaning, it required a much longer job to get the filter out. Thinking to get the SRI, as the performance gain from CAI to SRI is almost none, but the job to clean up the SRI is much much easier. Could save a bunch of time in the long term.

Any thoughts on this?
Just double check before I do the swap.

save yourself a few bucks and convert the Mazdaspeed CAI to SRI by taking out the bottom piece. That's how mine has been run for the past 3 years.

I thought about that, I asked Jimmy at Street Performance, he said the spot is probably not big enough to fit my filter in there. That's why......

would it be that worth it to buy another intake, vs making the one you have shorter or leavein it the way it is. i mean you must only clean it once a year. so for the extra time it takes to clean it. i would either make the one you have shorter or leave it as it is.

Like MajesticBlue said, you can easily convert the CAI to SRI.

I recommend cleaning the filter after every oil change.
