I picked up the weathertech floor liners for my 2012 Mazda3 hatchback recently and have been trying to look for something similar for the trunk. WeatherTech and Husky have liners for the sedans, but not the hatchbacks. Everywhere else I google just has little rubber mats that aren't made specifically for the 3.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm also looking for a lead on a dog barrier - I'm trying to get a set-up simlar to the image below. The dog isn't big enough to jump over the seats, but will claw away at the top of the seats

Mazda in Germany had something - but it doesn't seem to be available in the US

Mazda dealerships have the cargo liners for the hatchbacks.

MoT has them on special at the moment, link here (http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?57157-2011-Winter-Specials!!)

Give Joe a PM

Thanks .. will give Joe a PM - I thought the ones that Mazda had were just rubber mats, without lips on them.

They call it Cargo Tray. It's made out of material very similar to the Weathertech Floorliners.
and it has lip around it to hold in liquid or what not.

Yup, I'm heading over to MoT tomorrow to pick it up.

Anyone have any suggestions for the dog barrier?

I'd be interested in the barrier as well. Currently my pooch rides on a cover on the rear seat, but it slides all around on top of the leather. Putting him in the hatch is great but he also drools over the top of the seats then lol.

I'll most likely still put a blanket or cover of some sort over top of the back seat to help with the drool and hair. It's the climbing over the seat that is the main concern. Last time we were out on a trip in the wife's hatchback, she climbed over the backseat and laid down on the stacked boxes behind us, *just* out of reach.

Need to curb that kind of behaviour especially on the highways :chuckle

Maybe Joe at MoT will have some recommendations when I go to see him tomorrow. I'm sure they've seen quite a few things come through the offices there

Yeah, same thing. I'm trying to get mine used to the idea that the hatch is his place to hang out. He's a bit skittish with the car, and the seat cover sliding around on the leather doesn't help.

For clarification, the "she" I referred to is the dog, not the wife. Though the alternative is quite humorous :chuckle

Also interested and have been looking for a pet barrier for my Mazda3. I like the one pictured above where it only goes on top of the rear seat.

I did find this for the 2004-2009 models but I've got a 2012, so I don't know if the restraints and arms will work the same - Amazon Link (http://www.amazon.com/TRAVALL-TDG1241-GUARD-BARRIER-2004-2009/dp/B0040QALJA)

You guys may want to look into a seat belt harness and seat hammock or blanket for your pups. The hammock protects the seats and the harness protects your dog if you have to break suddenly or you get in an accident.

You can see an example at http://www.ohmydogsupplies.com/files/master/t_16548.jpg

Luckily my dog was buckled up when someone made a left as I came through an intersection on a green a few years ago. Hate to think what would have happened if she wasnt buckled up.
