Has anyone installed a catback exhaust on a mazda 3 GT yet?
Do you see any increase in performance? Any have a racing beat exhaust (cat back)
Bolt on system? Looking for feedback.

you will only yield a gain with a I/H/E combo..just getting a cat back alone with only make noise.

what kind of question is that lol.

you might get a couple of whp with just cbe, but you need race/straight pipe, headers and intake to get real gains (20hp~; figure is from corksport dyno results (http://www.corksport.com/blog/2010-mazda3-intake-exhaust-test-results/)). and then a tune to optimize it.

and for 2010+, racing beat only makes axle back (direct bolt-on muffler replacement). it is probably the best exhaust system in terms of quality (very expensive though). However, if you want something that actually gives you power gains, relatively speaking, than corksport is the best deal.

magnaflow also makes a 2010+ cbe system like corksport, but very few people have them.

pretty sure the racing beat is axle back too...

Thanks for the info guys. I skipped auto mechanics class and became a victim of misinformation.
LOL. What exhaust system would you choose far a 2010 Mazda 3 GT?

Your choices, as far as I know are;
1) Magnaflow cbe
2) Corksport cbe w or w/o racing pipe
3) Racing beat abe
4) Speed3 cbe

It looks like most are CBE and none are full exhaust systems. Magnaflow looks good and midpipes are available. I don't think
RBracing Beat makes a mid pipe.

you wont notice any difference with an axle back over a catback on a N/A mazda3. if you have a speed3, that's a whole different ball game.

find a system you like, and buy that one.

What's an N/A Mazda?

What's an N/A Mazda? Anyway checked out the Vibrant and Magnaflow sites and could not find a CBE system for a 2010 M3 GT. Kinda disappointed cause those are the ones I wanted to chek out. The RB version Axle back seems expensive for what it is. Anyone have opinions about it?

i would call budget exhaust in burlington, they are quality priced and hand make all exhaust in house, stainless steel or regular. They did my dads duramax 6.6 litre with a full 5 inch catback. they were $500 cheaper than anywhere else. He said that for my 2010 he could do it for around $500 $600 full stainless.

make sure its 316 stainless, not shitty 304 that will rust in a couple of months.

I've got a custom cat-back exhaust from Solo Performance - highly recommended...I love it. best mod I've done, hands down.

Good to know that Terapr0. Anyone have any remarks about the Corksport CBE system with racepipe? Looks like a good exhaust for the price.

+1 for budget.
I've had them work on my mazda and GTI. They do good work, and fairly good prices!

I have the racepipe in my basement, if u end up buying the cs system, u can have it for $20. :D

Guess its time to decide which exhaust system and try not to break the budget at the same time. Thanks for the offer Kiyomi. Good to know.
