Hey guys, there seems to be an in flux of Hamilton area members joining so i figure id start a roll call thread. id like to get some Hamilton meets going, since the weather is getting nicer its a good time for the HM to get out and meet... Hutch's at Van Wagners beach seems to be a good spot and is also convenient for Burlington members as well.

Do you know how many 3's will come.. Im pretty sure I can make it on the 24th, its a bad weekend (to meet) for me because my daughters birthday and bought a borla catback but still owe 250 on it so Im trying to save every penny I got lol

Awesome, the 24th it is! im going to propose a Hamilton/Bayside Meet day for every month. so since this meet falls on the last Sunday of the month i say the last Sunday of every month we hook up at Van Wagners Beach (Hutch's).

@CoolColombian has the mazda6club finalized at time? maybe a cruise from the pit stop to van wagners?

im in talks with a buddy to try and get the Bayside Vdub guys out too

Im new here and would really like to meet some peeps close by my area, Ive tried starting my own group, posted many times for people in brantford, hamilton and tri city to hook up for mini meets, cruises etc.. No one is interested in my ideas.. should of bought a honda lol as theres tons of meets out here for hondas and acuras.. I am really trying to get a mazda meet at my local aftermarket shop to take pics for his website.. we also have a ton of parks etc.. I think I got the wrong idea for this site, thought people hooked up all the time like the honda boyz, street goonz and freshly slammed in my town.. oh well, I hope I can make the 3/6 meet on the 24th and I guess Ill start my brantford group by myself lol.. then everytime I pull into a lot.. it will be a loner meet, party of one

Ok thanks for explaining it to me, lol yea im staight with mazda too, Im very impatient and thought there were enough mazdas around here. I really want to have a meet in Brantford (which is midway between Hamilton & Cambridge) just one time lol. It looks like we could have a 30+ ms3/mz3 with the combined area's plus anyone else who would take the trip, obviously not anytime soon, I think Im 90% good to show up on the 24th in hamilton and looking foward to meet you guys, Im so happy because I just got my Borla catback put on today. I acually was born and raised in T.O then moved to the Hammer and now in Brantford, but do oftenly visit family in scarborough.. so Ill keep your advise in mind and try to hook up with meets out there while Im in town visiting, Thanks again for letting me know :)

Im about to install my own angel eyes this weekend and would really appreciate any advice.. I know to bake on low heat and to use a heat gun to separate the lens and base.. My main concern is what sealant is best to use to avoid moisture?.. Is it a must to remove bumper?.. I cant seem to find a whole lot of info and the the instructions suck lol.. If anyone can please explain (in steps) how to do properly, I will be so thankful.. Or if your close to Brantford and you can lend a hand, I will throw you some cash for your troubles..

Here (http://krystmsgarage.com/?p=25) is a DIY on the install. It looks like you do need to remove the bumper in order to get the headlight off the body that is held on by screws. The DIY lists "Clear Silicone Sealant" as the sealant, but you could always try reusing the existing sealant that is currently on there.

Definitely sounds awesome but I'm busy that week too, driving down to Alabama for a camping trip.

Not to hijack this thread but since this is the Hamilton area thread, someone backed up into me earlier today and left a pretty nasty dent in my rear bumper. Any suggested locations to get a repair? I'm hoping to find some time to drop by Budd's Mazda and get a dealership quote on the repair. Also the other driver wanted to pay cash and keep insurance out of it. Someone mentioned City Automotive in Burlington in another thread. Anything closer to Hamilton someone can suggest?

And should I leave it like this until after I've gotten a quote? Or should I try and pop it out asap? I'm not sure if leaving it in like that would have any side effects over popping it back right away.

pop it out, you might get lucky and only end up with scratches to repair, are those cracks in the paint or in the bumper at the corner of your reflector?

Why is it so hard to take a look behind whille backing up.. just glad you caught the person, 9/10 times they just drive away

Ya, definitely gonna give it a pop after I drop by a dealership for a quote. And ya, there are a couple of cracks along the corner of the reflector. Ya I'm glad they didn't run. Frustrating thing is their car looked fine, just a couple of bumper clips popped out of place. I'm hoping to drop by a dealership for a quote tomorrow. Is Mountain Mazda good? I've heard good things about Budd's but it's a little far.

Its already cracked. bring it into your garage (or a buddys) and steal your a hairdryer or two (be careful if you have a heat gun)... warm it up, grab a pipe, put a tennisball at the end of the pipe, and push it out from inside. You should be able to access that easily from under neath the car. (jack it up and make it secure - you're going to be pushing it hard!)

The heat makes it much easier, and reduces the chance of cracking it further. You'll never get it back to 100%... but it might be a level you can live with, or at the very least, reduce the repair bill a tad.

I'd plan to head early, giving enough time to cruise and allow for a Timmies stop as well as gas (Although it'd be smart to fill up prior lol). I'd like to arrive early at the event also to get to know people as they arrive and snap some pictures as well.

As I mentioned to Tozer, once i know the details i'll put together a little plan and run it by you all.
