Hello
I'm looking to upgrade my Downpipe, comeparing prices and quality of Cobb and UR.
I saw a few ppl are able to get pretty great numbers with UR and after 2-3 years still holding very well and it's much cheaper then Cobb!
Now my question is, I realize stock Test Pipe section is non-resonated. I want to know if it's worth getting it with resonator or not if I don't want my exhaust system to get louder.
Thinking of gettin Downpipe with Ceramic core.
Thanks in advance

I'm not 100% sure cuz I c MajesticBlue got one with Resonator and he says its similar to stock. Then does that potential mean if I get non-resonated it'll be louder then stock?

Non resonated will be louder.

So that means Cobb and CPe one does make the car louder since they don't even offer the option to have resonated test pipe?

i found that my UR downpipe didnt make my car much louder than previously. Intake sound is still louder than DP with stock catback

Doesnt matter what downpipe or test pipe you use. The car will be louder than usual.
change ur catback and it will open up and get loud

If you're running the stock catback, even with the CP-e DP, your car will not be that loud. More so the frequency changes to a lower pitch.

I think you had UR downpipe right?
Cause I'm thinking of getting UR DP and TP combo, just thinking if it's worth getting it resonated or not.

The way I see it is if your asking this question you are obviously worried about the sound being too loud so I am going to go with yes get the resonator... I would myself.

Go full UR cat-less turbo back exhaust... Its quieter then stock.

yes, i have that combo, and its fine. Minimal increase in sound, just deeper tone like paul had said

Was yours resonated?
Also I'm a little confused, I was under the impression stock is non-resonated.. But this is confusing me -> http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TP&Product_Code=ATP-MS3-010&Category_Code=

The stock is not resonated.
The stock is two pieces each with a catalytic convertor which muffles the sound

Thanks for the info, I got confused with the MSF Cobb DP install review.
Anyways Thanks and I'll think abt whether I should go UR Catted and Resonated or Cobb DP.

there are resonators in the stock cat back exhaust, dont pay the extra for the resonator in the UR downpipe/testpipe combo.
there isnt anything to think about for you, the dp does not make the car significantly louder over stock
