I just want to put my mind at rest. Its freezing out, and every time i go over a bump, my suspension makes a grinding-like noise. It has not happened when the temps were warmer. I know this is probably normal, but please put my mind at ease.

thanks! :bowdown

speeds come with poly bushings which do not respond so well to cold. or so i believe. but you should be just fine as long as you dont hear that noise when it is warmer. if you are able park it in a garage and let it warm up and take it out again.

My rear suspension has been squeezing like crazy this week and I don't think it's any coincidence that this is the first really cold week this winter.

Same here...makes a metal-on-metal grinding noise and harder to shift into 2nd gear as well...as far as I know its normal and nothing to worry about since it goes away after the car warms up

Its normal. We get -20 all the time and the car makes all sorts of groans and squeaks. Should have heard her this morning when it was -32...

LOL SO JOKES theres a thread exactly like this on MSF right now LOLOL

Its like 60*c colder now than the hottest it gets in the summer, were gonna have some serious noise lol.

Bushings and mounts and other rubber pieces are frozen solid right now, not the ideal working conditions.

Sway bar bushings making the craziest squeaky noise over cracks, bumps, etc. that is what most are experiencing in this weather, along with the usual body creaks and whatnot.

Theres a vid on youtube of a guy in regina, -30 before the windchill, he takes his genwon out to capture all the noises, way more than genpu lol.

I just keep telling myself that's it's just the tires rubbing on the ice in the wheel wells lol

Yeah I'm the same way, mudflaps make it easier to peel off the snow/ice. I only hear the crunchy suspension sound for the first 10-15 minutes of driving then it goes away.

Funny you say that, i feel like i barely touch my mudflaps and ALL the snow comes falling off. Glad its not in my head
