Don't know where else to turn for help. At the end of last year i have to give my 3 back as I lost my job and couldn't keep up with payments. Since then I invested in an 03 Protege5, good car but not a 3 :(. Right now i'm looking at replacing the installed deck with one Bluetooth built into it so i can stream music. I can't use an Aux as the jack on my phone doesn't hold the cable in place and slips right out.

I'm not looking for anything fancy just good sound and Bluetooth audio. I've narrowed it down to

I'm leaning to the Alpine due to the price, but do any of you have any suggestions?

alpine does make a decent bluetooth unit. if thats all your main concern is (the bluetooth ) then that will be fine, i would recommend kenwood just cause for around the same price, you'll get parrot bluetooth which is the leader in bluetooth. but like i said, the alpine one will be fine.

If you're still on a budget you could buy one of this from an eletronic store near you.
I bought one just like that because i had the same problem, my iphone had a case and most 3.5mm male to male wires are to thick at the end to fit the case.

Btw, i got mine from mississauga. Electronic store beside sayal.
Just a suggestion ;)

I ended up finding one on Kijiji for 75 bucks (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MEX-BT2500-Bluetooth-Enabled-Receiver/dp/B000OQN1CY/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top)

Re-used the harness from the other radio, soldered all the wires and installed it this morning and it's working perfectly. I'm especially happy that it will re-connect to my phone automatically and resume playing.
