im looking to buy a cbe sometime soon but the exhaust i want is for gen 2 speeds, i was wondering if it is a direct bolt up since oem speed exhaust and genpu 2.5 exhaust are transferable, also i've heard of loss of power/ bogging due to different diameters on exhausts.. would / could this be a problem? the exhaust i'm currently looking at is a speed daddy exhaust (and msds headers eventually down the road ) :)

I have this on mine, love the sound and haven't noticed any power loss.

Isn't direct bolt on though!

Awesomee, what did you have to cut and weld to make it fit ?

You'll need a piece exhaust going from the actual muffler, to the flange above the axle in the rear

I have a speed exhaust. On my 2.0 from my.cat back..welded.to the speed pipe just before the rez.. drives mint sounds.good. have just the speed muffler on the mrs car. Bolts right up. Sounds good. Slightly.less loud then mine but either or are good upgrades. 0 power loss. If anything slight gain for flow and a million hp in the eargasm range. Because she soundss nice

I think there's a miss understanding I want an aftermarket cbe made for the speed 3 on my car ! Wouldn't it come with the Inlet pipe from the muffler to bolt to the flange by the axle ?

Why.. do you want a speed 3 made exhaust on a non speed 3.. just buy the right exhaust for your car. Or better yet. Find an aftermarket company that makes speed 3 exhausts and ask them.. but if its a full exhaust for a speed. Good chance its not going to be a direct bolt on to a non speed

... so your looking for an axle back? ok cuz the pic you posted. the rear mufflers should be fine. the big long pipe should fit. you may only need to cut the end of your stock pipe and then the end of the new pipe and weld them together. plus if its for a speed it will be a bigger size anyway. and you wont need the shorter pipe that would go up to the turbo

I believe stock speeds come with 2.5" exhausts, while most aftermarket exhausts for them are 3". If this is the case, your car will most likely suffer from this change in diameter.

just buy a used speed exhaust. good sound. easy to put on, cheaper in most to all cases

get the proper exhaust for your car, an exhaust made for speed3 for sure wont exactly fit the regular 3.
