What would be best suited for a 2005 Mazda3 SP23 hatchback? On japanparts it says before mc or whatever and im confused, i cant tell the difference to be honest

You're looking at 3 different types of OEM bumper here, which the different lips are made to fit.

In order, 07-09 hatch GT, 04-06 hatch, 07-09 hatch base model (I think, which we didn't get here).

The only lip that would fit your model OP would be the (middle picture) GV style lip

look around the fog light cut outs for easiest way to tell. round square oval
