Hey guys,

As I am sure I have stated before my GF rocks, and supports my habits. Well today we decided to tackle a shifter boot. I was tired of the cheap feel and squeaking sound of the stock one. Here are the results:

VERY soft Leather. I chose red stiching for the JDM kinda look and it matches the dash nicely :)

Comment/questions welcome!

From the sounds of it, he and his girl made it themselves probably using the stock boot as a template. Takes some time, patience, materials and most important a sewing machine.

Yeah me and the GF made it. :)

If anyone wants a OEM replacement (ie. the one stitch) style one, but in nice leather lemme know. We can prolly bang out two of them, as we still have enough leather for 2 more I think. Say $15 each?

Guys, $15, is just a leather replacement of the one you already have, one like the style in my car would be more, I can check and see how much, but to be honest, we arent pros at this, so it takes a fair bit of time. Also, if you get the dimensions, and take them to a shoe maker, you can have it faster.

So I can see how much, but I dunno how the time situation is, I am sooo bussy lately

We sure did :)

And we never ended up making any more or selling them, simply because it is a fair bit of work for use.

give these guys (http://www.redlinegoods.com/productsMazda.shtm) a shout. they use genuine italian leather and there\'s a discount code for 10% on msprotege.com (search for redlinegoods)

i think they\'ve done one for AT if not you can ask them to do it for you.. just get them the measurements and all.. anyways.. good luck.. and let us know how it turns out.

good to hear!!

from what i\'ve read they are fairly accomodating (to designs/stitching etc) and the leather is as soft as a baby\'s butt.. :)

EDIT: found the link (http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=89056)
